The Ugly Truth

Take your cliche romantic film, add a little raunchy/sexual comedy, and throw in the versatile king leonidas (Gerard Butler) in a role as the ideal alpha male, and a promising actress (Katherine Heighl) who delivers time after time playing a dominant female role in a history of movies with the stereotypical male dogs, and you get this lovely piece of work. In spite of the continuous under-rating of those moron movie "intellectual" heads over at rotten tomatoes, this movie is infested with sick, average, guy sexual jokes yet tweaked with the charm of a simple fall-in-love romance you find yourself walking into a theatre featuring a cross between The Notebook and Wedding Crashers. Either way you know what youre getting yourself into, a cute love flick, or a good two hours worth of laughter you'd never expect. Ditto.
