Funny People
The long expected comedy flick to complete Apatow's trilogy has been nothing short of anticipation-satisfying, yet gives watchers a different twist on a drama blanketed by usual Rogen/Sandler comedy. In this film the outlying portrayal theme that plays the plot objective is to convince people that life isnt really what it seems to be, what better way to show that then a bunch of comedians being miserable? With a routine class act by Sandler and Rogen's comedic charm, Funny People was more of a Funny Soap Opera. With the lover's lesson theme "there was always that one that got away" and how Apatow portrays that it only takes an experience of getting "one foot in the door" and a glimpse at death to change your life, people will learn that at the end of the day, all you can do is laugh.
